Rebounding and Sit Ups

It's cold today. Which means the garage is cold. I wanted to do Sandbags today. However, my sliced up fingers from Monday aren't fully healed. I've entered a grip competition, happening this Saturday. I really don't want to open up the cuts again. Hey, I can always use core and mobility work.

Rebounding - 60 minutes.

Bench Sit Ups - 4 sets/20 reps.

Static Stretches.

My mobility seems to be getting better. I feel better and that's what matters. I had some abdominal cramping after the first set. All good after that.

Sandbags

Sunday night after Squats and after dinner I went out to trade a set of cast iron plates for a set of bumper plates. I've needed these for a little while to train axle and log. I also picked up another bag of gravel to top up my sandbags.
Monday after work I spent some time filling my sandbags. Previously, the bags weighed 120 and 150lbs. Now they weigh 150lbs (filled) and 180lbs (20lbs still required to fill). Tonight I took the 150lbs bag for a ride.

Rebounding - 30 minutes.

Kettlebell Swings - 2 sets/20 reps/40lbs.

Sandbag to Shoulder - 1,2,3,4 reps/150lbs.

I alternated right/left shoulders. No supportive equipment. I forgot to record a video. Darn. Technique is so important. Remembering that technique under weight will take some time.

Now it's time for dinner!

Squat Sunday!!!

Yesterday was spent running around. However, I did do 30 minutes on the rebounder. I wanted to be somewhat rested for "SQUAT SUNDAY!!!"

Rebounding - 45 minutes (during w/u sets).

Squats - 2 sets/6 reps/bar, 2 sets/6 reps/135lbs, (knee sleeves) 225lbs/6 reps, (belt) 315lbs/3 reps, 365lbs/2 reps, 405lbs/1 rep, 405lbs/2 reps, 225lbs/8 reps.

Static Stretches.

The first single of 405lbs was so easy I had to go again and smash a double. Which I did. My strength is coming back. I gotta keep my patience and slowly increase.
Tonight I'm going out to purchase some bumper plates. Much needed for log and axle. I think I'll also swing by Home Depot and get some more fill for my sand bags.

Deadlifts

I keep pushing. Making advancements every week. These gains aren't huge but I'm getting stronger as time goes on. Every Thursday morning I jab myself in the leg with a needle. I need to make that worth while. I keep pushing. TRT is still so new to me. Training isn't. I'm not sure how much the TRT is helping. So, I keep pushing. Until I find my limits.

Rebounding - 90 mimutes.

Kettlebell Swings - 2 sets/20 reps/40lbs.

Deadlifts - (no belt) 2 sets/8 reps/225lbs, 2 sets/4 reps/315lbs, 2 sets/3 reps/405lbs, (belt) 2 sets/2,3 reps/475lbs.

Static Stretches.

Damn! What a great training day. Next week is International Deadlift Day. International Deadlift Day is an informal global event held annually on January 16th, the anniversary of the passing of legendary strongman Jón Páll Sigmarsson, inviting everyone to celebrate the deadlift movement in his honor by posting videos and pictures of their lifts. It's a community-driven day for all types of deadlifts (Strongman, Powerlifting, CrossFit, etc.) to share their passion for the lift and remember Sigmarsson's impact, with hashtags like #WorldDeadliftDay.

Bldg 21

Today is the first training day for the 17 Wing Powerlifting team. I didn't have much planned for today. However, with all the fun toys at bldg 21, training will be good.

Walk around the gym floor - 30 minutes.

Buffalo Bar Squats

I took a break yesterday after some decent Deadlifts. Today was all about making up for shitty squats on New Years.

Rebounding - 30 minutes.

Buffalo Bar Squats - 2 sets/6 reps/130lbs, 230lbs/6 reps, 330lbs/6 reps, 380lbs/2 reps, 230lbs/6 reps.

Standing Buffalo Bar Press - 3 sets/6,6,8 reps/130lbs.

Static Stretches.

I didn't hit 4 plates but 380lbs for a double is pretty good. Again I left a little in the bank for next training day. As I was stripping the bar I decided to hit some presses. Getting used to training a variety of lifts is what strongman is all about. I feel really good for it.

Right after training I went out to buy some Axle Dumbbells. Another awesome toy for my playground.

Pa O'Dwyre RIP

Absolutely devastating news this morning. Pa O'Dwyre passed away at only 40 years old. Shocking to say the least. Pa was a charismatic fellow. I really enjoyed his controversial pod casts. I also appreciated his "don't be a cunt" war cry. He recently dieted down to showcase an outstanding physique. Something to be proud of for sure. He will indeed be missed.

RIP, Rest In Power.

Today's training was motivated by Pa's passing. I inspired to push a bit more. Nothing silly but more than programmed.

Rebounding - 75 minutes.

Light Stretches.

Deadlifts - (no belt) 2 sets/8 reps/225lbs, 2 sets/3 reps/315lbs, 2 sets/2 reps/405lbs, (belt) 455lbs/2 reps, 505lbs/1 rep.

Static Stretches.

I added reps here and there and finished off at 505lbs. Feeling really healthy and strong. I was also feeling silly and wore a blonde wig. I'm such a big goof.
