Push Ups

Feeling really good today. I'm not any lighter but I feel like I'm moving a lot better.

Squats

During my days away from the weights I try my best to rebound. Today I got off the bench and did some proper squats.

Rebounding - 20 minutes.

Squats - bar/6 reps, 135lbs/6 reps, 6 sets/6 reps/225lbs.


No belt, only knee sleeves. My body felt solid under these and I was able to drive up with power. I also took a shorter rest between sets than normal.

Viking Press

I bought a viking press handle attachment a while ago. Recently I ordered the landmine attachment. Today it arrived. Time for Viking Press.

Viking Press - 2 sets/12 reps/75lbs, 2 sets/10 reps/130lbs, 2 sets/6,8 reps/155lbs.



Shoulders are gonna feel it tomorrow.

Driveway Tire Deadlifts

Damn it's hot and humid today. I wanted to train earlier in the day but family responsibilities kept me busy until after supper. By this time I felt like an ant under a magnifying glass. The sun was hot and intense. Combined with my big fat body Deadlifts where tough.

Tire Deadlifts - 225lbs/6 reps, 315lbs/6 reps, 455lbs/3 reps, 495lbs/1 rep, 515lbs/1 rep.




Putting weights away equated to a nice bit of cardio. Maybe next week will be more suitable for strong deadlifts.

Today was mild and more in tune with training.

Bench Squats

It is hot and humid out doors today. No breeze at all. I'm old and fat and I don't want a heart attack. Last week was heavy. This week I'll take my foot off the gas and coast a bit. That said, I'm still putting in the work.

I've sweat through all my clothes. Even my socks are wet. Feeling good about my performance.

Driveway Tire Deadlifts

Today's trainging scared the shit outta me. That said, I still got it done.

Tire Deadlifts - 225lbs/6 reps, 315lbs/6 reps, 435lbs/5 reps, 465lbs/3 reps, 495lbs/1 rep.




No straps, no belt. Eventhough, I pulled them out. I'm proud of my performance today. Very solid lifting.

Bench Press

Today I felt like testing my Flat Bench Press. Many weeks of Inclined Presses and Push Ups.

Bench Press - 2 sets/12 reps/135lbs, 225lbs/12 reps, 315lbs/3 reps, 335lbs/1 rep, 360lbs/miss, 315lbs/1 rep, 315lbs/2 reps.




Cable Triceps Ext - 3 sets/12 reps/30,35,40kg.

OH Plate Ext - 2 sets/12 reps/45lbs.

Mixed emotions today. I felt strong on the bench and decided to try for a new record. NOPE! Oh, well. I'm still happy with these numbers.

Ugh!

Yesterday I wanted to train but had to take my father to the hospital. I did manage to get about 30 minutes on the rebounder.

Today different story but similar result. After 20 minutes on the rebounder I started some push ups. After the second set of 15 reps my lower back tightened up again.

Hopefully stopping sooner than pushing through will allow me to deadlift sometime this week end.

Adding the squats to the end ensures I'm being honest with myself by hitting depth. Good idea me thinks.

Bench Squats

What a ridiculously busy week end. My son arrived Saturday for a visit. My parents got here Sunday because they are moving here. Sunday we had the whole Snow side of the family over for Canada Day dinner. It's been over a decade since that last happened. Time to continue training.

I decided to continue with Bench Squats for a while. Or at least until I can put some real weight on the bar.
