It wasn't intentional to omit Squats from training. There's just so much to focus on. I'll make sure to add them in some form from now on.
I spoke with a sports psychologist this morning on the phone. He pointed out the obvious. Here it goes.
I've spent 20 years as a Powerlifter. Squats, Bench Press and Deadlifts for single heavy reps are now second nature. Lots of the Strongman exercises like Log, Sandbag, keg, axle, ect are new to me but my goal this year is to master them and become Manitoba's Strongest 50+ Man. That's silly. Someone of my age and maturity being such an impetuous child. Of course I'm nervous and somewhat scared of tbe weights, exercises and overall training. It's not a race. If I don't do it this year there will always be next year or any of the years after that. In fact, it's foolish to think I can master an entire sport in one year. Physically I feel awesome. Enjoy the journey not the finish line.
Makes a lot of sense.
